There was something I noticed.
When I start Sonar and I open a project and (with luck!)
the master fader works, every project that I will open without closing Sonar the master fader will work too.
If I open Sonar and a project and (bad luck!) the master fader does not work all the project that I will open without closing Sonar master fader will not work.
I do not know if it may mean something.

I doubt that the motor of my fader does not work.
That does not even been a year since I have my vstudio 700.

I'm interested to know everyone's experience with the factory reset and fader calibration test. Those instructions aren't exactly publicized anywhere, as far as I'm aware, so this might interesting to find out whether or not there is any impact on the performance of the motors.

 
Well he was asking for feedback, test 3 is still outstanding. If you and Reza could sort this out then that would be good...

Got my hands on a VS-700C and I can replicate the behavior. Doing some more digging on my end.
 
In the meantime, a quick and dirty work-around to get the Master Fader to be responsive again is to hold down CTRL and click on the Reset MIDI and Audio button in the Transport Module.
 
I'll follow up when I have more info.

 I did all the 3 tests but still have the same issue. master fader doesn't like to work always.
