Who's going? I've decided to attend the next one after skipping several years. Last time I went was after Gibson had taken over, Cakewalk had been relegated to a single unstaffed table at the back of the room. The economy sucked at the time and many software vendors had elected to pass on the show altogether.
But now Cakewalk's back and will have a more significant presence come January. If you come, be sure to show your support by wearing your CbB t-shirts around the halls.
Last time I was there, NAMM had set aside a room for small software vendors, so hopefully that's still a thing. It made it possible for small vendors to afford a presence at an otherwise prohibitively-expensive venue. I was able to meet some of the developers that I'd previously only spoken to via email exchanges, get some in-person demos on new products, and find out about new players on the scene.
If you're planning to attend, let me know so we can meet up. Admittedly, I'm not a great dinner date because I only eat once a day and don't drink. But I never tire of talking shop.
