I'll just "echo" the praise you've already received: so tasty!
What I want to know is, who built the Les Pauls?
Man, that is Kalamazoo Golden Age tone, not the Nashville, not quite a real Gibson "clone" tone.

Wow guys! Thanks so much for your comments! Really appreciated.

@ Mesh - Thanks for your kind comment. Yes, the Kemper is something else indeed.
@ Batsbrew - Thank you for the comments. I've always been an "old school" guy when it comes to recording guitars but recently I got hold of a Line 6 Helix and have been using that instead of micing my amps (it really is that good). I can now say that the Kemper is easily as good. It's actually ridiculous how easy it's become to record great sounding guitar tracks.
@ Starise - Thanks for the vote of confidence! Much appreciated.
@ Deering Amps - The guitars are made by a Japanese company called Tokai. They are hand made and superbly put together. I've been using them for about ten years now.

Cheers
Peter.

Hi, Peter, It's really great to see you back on the forum!

This is an absolutely phenomenal melodic instrumental and fantastic video that really showcases both the Kemper and the amazing talents of you and your keyboardist and drummer!

The composition is excellent, your tasty playing is very fluid and spectacular, as always, and the variety of tones from the Kemper are outstanding.

The performances by all three of you were pure dynamite, and the production and mix are truly fantastic!

Amazing work, thanks for sharing, Peter!

Best Wishes,
Bob

But can it do metal?  That's always where these profilers and modelers don't work.  The more distortion and gain, the worse they tend to sound.

And I don't mean maxed out gain with the V shaped EQ settings...I mean actual metal tone, which is slightly more gain than rock, slightly less mids than rock, but tight bottom end and still very intelligible with plenty of character in the mid range.  I haven't heard a modeler or similar thing yet that can really do it.  Even the fractal axe fx doesn't really cut it.

Anyways...this track sounds great and the playing is tasty and professional.  Nice job all around.

Thanks so much for your comments, Bob. Really appreciate it!

@ Voda La Void - I'm not a metal player so I can't really comment on what the Kemper can or cannot do. I would think it shouldn't have a problem with high gain profiles but I've never tried it. I've had to return the unit so I can't even try it. Thanks for your comments though.
