I had to reinstall Sonar X1 Producer and now it's just defaulting to an out-of-date version of True Pianos and doesn't include the other modules that I bought (full suite), just the Amber module that comes free.  I can't find anything on TruePianos website nor Cakewalk (or forums).  TruePianos standalone is the updated version and shows all my modules.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks

Are the dll files for the full suite in a VST folder that Sonar is scanning?

I pointed VST scanner to the True Pianos folder... that being said, there are no .dll files in there.  I can't find any .dll files for TruePianos

Well, if you installed the program they have to be somewhere. Is there a C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins folder on your computer? Some program's will install to that directory if not told to install somewhere else.

Still need help!

TruePianos tech support told me to uninstall the .dll's that came with Sonar and that would work for getting my collection up and running, but it has not.  I still can't find it.  It's not showing up in any search and it's not in any of the normal locations (like steinberg or Cakewalk folders - neither 64 or 32 bit folders).  Geeze... I don't understand why there isn't installation instructions.

Truepianos ALWAYS has only 1 .dll called TruePianos.dll.  The modules are a different file type and are installed elsewhere....so even if you have one module or all of them, there will only be 1 .dll.

I suspect (just guessing) you have the Sonar Truepianos installed (the one that came with Producer) and then you installed the "full version" also installed except the installer put the TruePianos.dll for the full version somewhere else on your system.

If it works in standalone, it's on your system.  Sonar is just looking at the "wrong one."  Did you uninstall the Sonar one using the Add/Remove Programs?

Perhaps do a search for TruePianos.dll on your system and see what results you get.  It would be helpful to know if you have multiple copies on your system.

As a side note, AFAIK, there is manual for TruePianos in your account on their site.  It's a separate .pdf download.  It might not be helpful, but there is documentation.

One thing you could try would be to reinstall true Pianos and take a close look at every screen before moving to the next one. If it is installing a dll file it will show where it is going.
