I just have to be a wee bit patient, since it is a kickstarter campaign. The guys that developed the folding keyboard are back at it, this time it will be a fixed keyboard, to reduce the costs, but it includes almost every feature one could reasonably ask for.

My favorites are the weighted keys that release the weights at the bottom for a rapid return, and poly-aftertouch.

The only thing missing - for me anyway - is an integrated CC controller section, 8 or better yet 16 assignable knobs and buttons would pretty much empty my desk. Which would be very nice indeed. And if they made them ACT compatible that would be even better.

Anyway, if you are curious check out their campaign.

There's a lot can go wrong with that marketing plan. It almost looks like a scam where they have this pile of leftover parts in a warehouse somewhere and wondered what to do with it. Some marketing dude looked into what keyboards are selling for, got  in touch with a Chinese assembly plant and opted out of the deal. So now they want you to put it together??

Stick with name brands.

I kind of like Arturia's Keylab 88. I just wish they made a version without the sounds. I'd rather not pay for them if I'm not going to use them.

There are far far far too many things that can go wrong with this KS and the way the guy was talking about it put me on edge. I think their costs will far exceed $35,000.

I'm taking a hard look at the Physis K4 It looks to be the end all to everything we could ever want out of a master midi keyboard. http://www.viscountinstru.../K4_Masterkeyboard_N1/

I'm waiting for Behringer Motor and CME XKey 37 to be released. These two would have all the controls I'm looking for, from motorized faders to poly after touch.

CME still exists? I'm amazed after how badly they botched the VX8 which could have been an amazing board and how poorly they dealt with angry customers. :\
