To be very clear...I only played the lead guitar the rest was a backing track.
This is the only cover song I've ever recorded, but I just wanted to play this song one day. It's one of my all time Santana favs. (now let's see if I get busted.)

Have you tried to download forked files in the desktop bandlab editor? I couldn't get the play button to work. I loaded some fork files (stems) into splat but the tracks didn't sync. The editor seems to work on my phone... The downloaded fork files were 16/48k. It's probably some hardware/software incompatibility but I was hoping for dragging, dropping or loading files between the desktop bandlab editor and splat. I sent a message to bandlab as there isn't much available info on troubleshooting.

I don't think it is OK to do a public cover of somebody elses song unless you have asked them.
The premisses for using BandLab is very clear.

AFAIK these are original songs or musical ideas the composer allows to be 'forked' or modified by others while still getting credit for their contribution. The purpose is to allow collaborating, or sharing of musical ideas - not merely posting songs. The decision is entirely up to the composer whether he or she wishes to allow their material to forked. I was not referring to Clint's song but another song in which I could't get bandlab's interface to work.

Can't wait to see what they do with SONAR. Hoping it goes from strength to strength.

Cheers

Bummer, Bandlab doesn't like Edge web browser and wants me to use Chrome which I find to be extremely annoying because it keeps trying to be my default browser and that trashes my network.

"""!!!!!DEAL BREAKER ALERT!!!!!!"""

Oh well.....

Unfortunately we're pushing the boundaries on browser technology and Chrome is the most advanced at the moment. :-(

We do test in Firefox and Edge, but Chrome remains the leader right now. Good thing you have SONAR ;-)

i do a lot of browser-related development, i wonder what chrome has over firefox here? and wouold this mean chrome has to be installed for the daw-related stuff to work (versus web-based stuff)

also while you're here, meng, is there a more detailed "tech spec" for the link analog device? (compatible phones, supported sample rates, usb 1 2 or 3? etc?) the website is a bit light

and thanks for your time :-)
