Dragging audio to the media browser now remembers the time stamp. Was mine just buggy before or has this feature been added on the sly? Either way, thanks Bakers!

Yes that was included as part of the browser enhancements. Its part of the original release...
Its more than browser drag and drop. All bounced and exported files now retain the broadcast wave timestamp as long as the " Export Broadcast Waves By Default" checkbox in preferences | Audio Data is checked. And drag and drop will respect that if "Always import broadcast waves at timestamp" is also checked.

I don't know this could be done!!! So, you can drag an audio track into the media browse?
If so, cool beans!!!

You might find this article about browser tips helpful. It's based on X3, but the basics are still valid (although there have been several improvements since then).

Thanks Craig........looks like it's been available for quite some time (see what happens when you don't venture into new areas/explore and just settle for what little you know).

It will render fx as you drag the clips too. And all sorts of good stuff.

I've been having a chat with Beepster about this fx thing on drag and drop to browser. I'm going to do some more testing but take what I said with a grain of salt until I come back and confirm.

One more refinement I would like to see on this is a dual option in the right-click menu of "Insert At Now Time" and "Insert At Original Timestamp".

Application: I might create an audio clip that I want to drop in here and there (like waves crashing or a vehicle passing). However, in the same project I might want to drop in frame-accurate music or dialogue.. Having to toggle the preferences globally is not ideal in a project with several thousand audio clips :O)

Many thanks,
