Nothing kills workflow faster and more completely than recording a vocal track and having Sonar stop mid syllable with the above message. Audio Disk full, unable to save entire recording?

According to the performance module the disk is 75% empty (or 25% full if you're an optimist) and the cpu usage is very low, which is what I'd expect; this is an older song and it's running 24/ 44.1 and I don't use tons of plugins.

There were about 85 tracks. I deleted some to enable me to continue recording, but that should have been unnecessary.

The only recent change is that I recently tried Melodyne essential out on a track. It wasn't really useful for the track so I deleted it from the fx window. It shouldn't be still running in the background, should it? And if it were, it would show up in the performance module.

So, what's up with this?

Hi. If you right click on the track you tried Melodyne on, under Region Fx, is there an option to open Melodyne editor? If so, I believe the Region Fx is still there.
Best of luck.

Bounce the track you applied Melodyne to, to Clip

It isn't, and anyway, wouldn't melodyne or anything else that's bogging the system down be pegging the performance module? It shows plenty of headroom.

Exactly. Classic troubleshooting.

Removable drives?

The drives are recognized by the computer. Saving audio and project files is what I mainly use them for. Never had a problem like this before.

And wouldn't that show up in the performance module?

I have had the same issue off and on, and in my case it is not a Melodyne issue as I don't use it.  I have never been able to track it down, but fortunately it happens rarely enough it has not been a major issue for me.  Still quite a nuisance though.

Thanks. It sounds like a bug that needs to be looked into.
