I upgraded from Sonar Producer 8.5 to Sonar X3 Producer.  I ran both for a while until I got use to Sonar X3 interface.  I'm looking to upgrade to Sonar Platinum.  When I upgrade to Sonar Platinum will Sonar X3 still be available for download When I sign on to the cakewalk site and look under products.  When I upgrade to Sonar Platinum will it replace Sonar X3 on my system or will I see Sonar X3 and Sonar Platinum?

It will not replace your older versions.

After upgrading to Platinum, Sonar X3 will still be available for download from your products page. It will be listed under "Other Products"

Would there be any advantages or disadvantages to uninstalling X3 Producer prior to installing Platinum?

Don't uninstall any previous versions, I had the same questions before upgrading from X3e to platinum, I have both working very harmoniously on the same machine.

Also, you have the option during install to migrate your preferences/settings into SPlat so leaving X3 installed is a good idea.

There has been some talk that migrating preferences from X3 is not always a good idea. Will post more when at home and not typing on phone.
