I keep getting this window popping up saying that I can update from my current windows 7 to windows 10 for free. Does anyone know if windows 10 is better or worse to run Sonar x3 on? I only use this computer for recording so I don't want to mess up it switching to 10 if there are going to be glitches.

Thanks,

James

Win 10 will run Sonar just fine. Its your drivers you need to worry about.

You have a year to decide, so you can take your time and see how others with your configuration fare, but I suspect that the MAudio fastrack will work fine.

Yup 12 months to wait. If it was me ...just watch the others to see what is going on...

Sign up for the free update. No need to install it straight away.

Maybe a silly question but if we accept the Win 10 free upgrade, will we have to reinstall all our softwares from scratch?

Any word yet about Roland updating drivers for their Studio-Capture line or is anyone having any luck running Roland drivers in compatibility mode?

The update is just that an update. This is an install in place from one OS to another. If you were to clean install Windows 10 yes you would need to install all your programs.
