In reply to the post by tomatoes.dll, (aka Joe Walter), here is the link to the full mix series where I mix a country song containing 3 guitars, drums, bass guitar and vocals, interestingly I don't talk about the stereo importance of bass frequencies.

Thanks for watching guys, and Ignore the Trolls.

You are clearly a noob, and this isn't music. This is, uh, techno whatever.

For anyone listening to his nonsense, I recommend you follow no advice about the stereo importance of bass frequencies.
use a good plugin with bass filtering, and set the level you want to be RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE.

The bottom end, and subs, have no business in the stereo world. Remember this, or follow dork-boys advice. Your call, but I've been doing this 30 years. I love noobs, right up until they start trying to teach the world dumb tricks which go against everything you'll ever actually want to consider.

I'll see your 30 years and raise you another 15, Joe.  And I agree with you that anything under 500Hz should usually go right down the middle.

But your condescending tone is offensive. Surely you can find a way to express a contrary view without resorting to cheap name-calling. Your arguments will carry more weight if you keep it civil and objective. Instead, everyone who reads your post will see "dork-boy" and dismiss you as a crank, regardless of whether or not your technical point has merit.

Actually bitflipper, this was a troll I reckon, He must not have looked at the videos, He mentioned in the videos it's a techno song, it's actually a country song, and anyone who has watched the videos can verify that I at no point mention anything about the stereo importance of bass frequencies. This guy 'Joe Walter' has liked my facebook pages and has sent me a message about getting involved in a business idea. If you look at the comments in my video on session set up it's all there. Click on the name 'tomatoes.dll' and it brings you to his profile and there low and behold is his real name 'Joe Walters'
I expect some people to do things differently to the way I do things, and I say so in my videos, I only show the way I work and anything I show is only to help others in a way I wish I had been helped.

Hey everyone, I'm not sure how to explain this, or even where to start, except for, I suppose, the most intelligent idea is to make an immediate apology.

I am so friggin' sorry about my words here. They were not intended for this audience, nor were they even related to it. Somehow, I got two things crossed up, and posted on the wrong one.

I can not excuse it, but I hope you all understand that my criticism was NOT INTENDED on this forum, nor was it in any way aimed at the work being done here.

I have never been more embarrassed in my life, and am so sorry for hurting another who was innocent of any crime. Just one of those moments when, perhaps, my emotions about the degredation of the art of mixing met my lack of ability to realize I was posting in the wrong place!

I hope as much as the anger is shown (legitimately), perhaps forgiveness can be shown?

Thanks guys. And again, I am truly sorry and humbled.

Tomatoes,

It takes a real man. A BIG man to own up to a mistake and apologize. Way to go.

I still think whoever your post was meant for didn't deserve the bashing you gave though ;-)

Joe, your apology and retraction are wholeheartedly accepted, and as Gavin says it takes a big man to step up and apologize, Mistakes can be made and hopefully this doesn't put you off enjoying my videos.
As far as I'm concerned it's case closed, lets move on brother and forget about it.
Your friend in mixing

Great service to the community!!!  Thanks for the videos, I really enjoy seeing Sonar in action.  Its much better than seeing a rehash of the UI.  They are also an inspiration to get creative!!!

Big Thanks,
