Hello,

It seems that SONAR Pro is adding unwanted tracks.

I have Cakewalk adding tracks I don't want.

Additionally I see sound being metered but hear no sound.

This happened without any new program changes to my laptop.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot?

Thank you.

P.S. entering in a search term in the entire SONAR forum of "no sound" has sent back a message saying there are no results in this forum for this term at this time...

A little more info would help. Which version of SONAR do you use? Does it add audio or MIDI track? Does it happen on every project, or just one? What audio interface do you have, and how do you route signals? Is windows and drivers up to date?
Best of luck.

Ken,

?

Its adding duplicate Cakewalk TTS tracks.e which

I delete and resave and reopen and they're still there.

It seems I have to map my VSTs and-or my control surfaces because this seems like a source of this behavior.

I'll do some tutorial watching.

Thx.

Jay

P.S. I hope that the forum was offline when I entered in that simple search query in quotation marks.
btw, is photo.163.com an ad endorsed in our Cakewalk SONAR Forum control panel? Its all in chinese. Do you have a large Chinese user base?

Try using Google instead of the forum search. When searching this forum using Google add site:forum.cakewalk.com to the search string.

Can't tell if this is the result of SONAR automatically adding TTS-1 when opening a MIDI file or something else. There is not enough information about how you are using SONAR. But for now, I will guess you are opening MIDI files in SONAR. When there is no MIDI output device specified in Preferences, SONAR automatically adds TTS-1 to the project setting the synth up to play the MIDI tracks.

Working through the tutorials is a good idea.

If searching the forums, is best to use Google and preface your search with "site:forum.cakewalk.com"

163.com is a Chinese server, so is odd that a link popped up for that.
