I should know this and I think I've even done it before but how do I reduce volume on all tracks at once.
I selected all and moved the slider on 1 of them but as you probably know, that doesn't work.
Thanks very much,
Randy

Hey Randy,
Hold the Control key while you're moving one slider.

Also if you hold SHIFT itll change in small increments, great for when ur tryna fine tune by .1 or .2 DBs. SHIFT works on one track. Shift + Control will work on all tracks (or the ones u have selected )

Another lil tip. Obviously if u click a track and hold shift it selects all the tracks in between up to the point u click. If u use Ctrl instead of Shift it'll select tracks individually.

suchs Track: 1,2,3,4,5.. if you click 1 hold shift and click 5 itll select all 5. or 1 and 3 itll select 1 through 3.
If you hold Ctrl... click 1,3,5 itll select only those three instead of all 5.

Ps. Wasn't trying to over complicate a simple question lol, just thought it was a couple helpful tips.

There's another one I need to remember...trying to hold my mouth in just the right position to dial in an exact amount can be tiring : )
Thanks guys,
Randy

Just playing with this, there's a little more to it. Ctrl-drag works for all tracks of the same type (audio or MIDI) if none are selected, or just the selected tracks if any are selected. Also, ctrl-mouse-wheel is the same as just mouse-wheel - it only works for the current track.

Cheers, Peter.

Just be careful when you have some tracks/buses already grouped (not via quick-grouping but via the right-click Group menu). Ctrl-dragging the fader of one of these grouped tracks/buses will only adjust that fader dragged, and reverting the fader (by the right-click Revert to xxx menu with or without Ctrl held down) will only mess things up...
Saving a Mix Recall scene beforehand is highly recommended...

Another good tip considering undo won't get you back to the previous state.

Thanks

I knew it was available but never took the time to look it up.

Very good for when your whole project gets too hot.
