Hi guys -
Well, I tried a couple of things and wouldn't you know it - I'm back online. Here's what I did: having looked at a non-working track for WAY too long, I decided to create a new audio track and copy the wav form to the new track. Ta-dah. Once I updated the signal path and added TH2 into the effects mix I was right back in the game. I had to delete any non-working tracks and place the accompanying wav files in new tracks. Next I did the same for AD2. It worked. I guess I just hadn't given it that one final long, blank stare. Any ideas about how this happened? I can only assume it was related to my move to a new machine. By the way, I tried to add my computer to my account at XLN Audio and what a pain that was, let me tell you. No documentation specific to adding a computer to an existing account. Trial and error (and a few colorful phrases) seemed to do the trick.
I did end up reinstalling AD2 after all this to ensure I had a clean install with the right registry options in place.
Thanks for sticking with me through this - you both introduced a couple of angles that surely helped me track this down to resolution.
By the way...in my endless crawling of posts, I found one from a couple of years ago (I think) that was related to latency issues. The solution (which Anderton brought up) was to disable the High Definition Audio Controller. I can't believe hoe much more responsive my keyboard actions and metering are!!!! Just wanted to pass this along.
Thanks again.
Marc
