I love the themes. I also like that I can make tiny tweaks to them to fit my needs.

For example, I like polar blue theme but it didn't have stark enough resolution on the processors for me (so I could make sure I don't over drive the first while playing).

I made a quick tweak and it looks wonderful.

Thank you for this great gift. It makes Sonar totally fun for me.

Ben Staton [Cakewalk]
Good to know people are still making use of Theme Editor, but yes, always room for improvement.

Sadly, theming the CbB UI is by no means a quick and easy job. A basic understanding of at least one graphic design app is, unfortunately, a prerequisite. There's only so much we can do to make the process quicker and easier - short of rewriting most of the CbB UI code (but that's another story!).

That said, it's crying out for some obvious improvements here and there, so leave it with me. I'll try to sneak in some tweaks over the coming months.

ps. Thanks Bristol_Jonesey. Yes, still based in the UK (Midlands) :)

Ben I'm not sure i know you. However it is very good to have you on board and welcome to the forum.
Fantastic stuff coming our way.

Thanks John! I've been around for a while, but haven't been particularly active on the forum lately (which might explain why my name isn't familiar to you).

Some background if you're interested...

As a long term Cakewalk user and pro software developer, I wrote a utility called SONAR Plus back in 2010, which went down pretty well on the forums. Cakewalk noticed, so I started contracting for them in 2011, and went full time the following year.

Since then, I worked on SONAR for the most part, until things went south last November. Fortunately, Meng was kind enough to offer me a position at BandLab, so here I am!

I wrote the original Theme Editor, and spent some time updating it for CbB recently - hence my posts here today. :)

I now remember who you are! You were and are a dear friend of mine on this forum. I recall you as Benstat (I know I have that wrong). A brilliant programmer and supporter of Sonar. This is outstanding to see you again and to have you working on Sonar. If I am correct we have a lot to thank you for.  I have missed you on the forum.
Thats all I'm going to say because i don't want to be off topic.

Its really good to have back. The future looks very good now.

Thanks, Ben. themes have been a godsend for my old eyes. I wonder if at some point you could build a visual help screen key to point to screen elements to get their corresponding key names?  Anyway, much appreciated.

I had a go a while back, the colour of the text in the GUI corresponds to the colour of the text in the description.

With the release of the new update to the theme editor I have updated my Green Glow theme with the new PRV colours.

I think you need to make the link ?dl=1 at the end; ?dl=0 means don't download and preview, and DropBox can't preview .sth files, so you get stuck (or at least I do!).

Me too.

Good stuff there Kami. That's the biggest hurdle for me, figuring out where stuff is located. I think TV stuff should be in a TV folder of some sort, but all the elements of the GUI is all over the place!!
