Hi folks, I have addictive drums 2 and some nice kits, there are some really nice wav collections with several formats of different hit volumes. Apparently there are a few standards for this, but drum sample collections come in different "formats" that work with say drumagog, trigger or sampletank . etc. Anyway the technology seems to use different samples for lighter drum hits then just reducing the volume of the same sample. There is probably a lot more to this but I think that is how they approach natural sound to some extent. ANYWHO. What I am wondering is a) does drum replacer support that type of thing (multiple samples), if not , should it? and what type of standard can/should it use?
If there is a standard for how these are done, I just would hope drum replacer could support that if it does not.
So does drum replacer just trigge the sample quieter?
I am not saying it should or should not, actually as long as the midi export works well I can use a different drum plugin. I am just wondering. Maybe drum replacer could be "pointed" to another drum plug in to send the midi to it like a midi track? then developers could stay off the endless train of being asked to develop a full drum sample sensitivity replacement deal inside sonar. That might be something to put on the request voting site. Direct midi to VSTI from drum replacer.
