(I'm only trying to move the cakewalk "content" to a different HD.)

If you already moved your folder. This you do in SONAR Preferences, under file location.

Zargg, the thing is CCC is installing all the Platinum Cakewalk Content on my C: drive. When I run Sonar, the program sees it in the D: drive as it should.
It's just that the CCC is installing all the new Platinum content on my C: drive...(of note, when I first installed CCC/Platinum in January, I did let it install everything on my C: drive (default path) as at the time, it was not clear how to separate the install locations........thus, I planned on moving them once CCC was updated to give us more choices....i.e.. right now :))

Have you been to the paths tab in CCC?

Yes.
That's how I'm getting this error.

Just to be clear all I talked about is moving the CCC downloads folder.

Yes, it actually downloads to my D: drive and exactly where I want it to be.....(but this isn't the problem I'm having).

Have you tried to use verbose install?

Not yet.

Is this where you manually install everything?
Can I do that with just the "Cakewalk Content" folder?

I am not sure. But hey, it could help It will give you some control over where things get placed.
Others will know better.
Best of luck.

Thanks Zargg!! At this point, anything is worth a try.

I'm just surprised that changing the file path is this complicated........it should be quite a simple task. SampleTank 3 also gave me (as well as many) this similar problem. All my other installers (much larger libraries) were a breeze to change directory paths.

I looked into it a bit more last night and still have the same problem with CCC not allowing me to change the Cakewalk Content folder path (still getting the same error....see post #4).

I suppose, now a trouble ticket needs to be submitted.....
