• SONAR
  • Command Center downloads - keep all?

My C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads folder is now 40.6GB.
I notice that versions accumulate. In the case of SONAR Platinum itself, I have eight (8) versions of the setup exe, each over 300MB and as for Rapture and Dimension Pro...
Do I actually need these earlier versions here or can I delete/store elsewhere all but the latest exe files in this folder?
My C:\ drive is 223GB capacity so I am looking to free up space there.
Thanks.

Hi. I have moved (or rather copied, and deleted old folder after checking that the copy was done correctly) all CCC downloads to an external drive, and that is where CCC puts every new download.
There is a gear icon on top right corner of CCC. Under the paths tab, you will see, and be able to move your CCC downloads location.
Best of luck.

There is probably no need to keep any of the older installers, as the updates are cumulative.
I keep all the old installers, just to be on the safe side

Thanks, Zargg71.
I've read a bit more now and I can see that the older exes would be useful if ever I need to roll back to an earlier version.
I have moved the downloads folder to my E:\ drive and redirected downloads in CCC accordingly as you indicated.

You don't have to keep them for rollback as all versions are now available online in our newly modified user accounts. But I do the same as you as you never know when you want to roll back and don't have net access.

I do this just to be on the safe side (and part of my collection), if I as Mike said, need to rollback, without net access
