Where might I place the update for c3 to find it instead of downloading?

...or should I simply run it from outside c3?

Thanks...

No need to run inside Command Center, the file is also here https://www.cakewalk.com/command-center

Thanks Steve...

That's where I got it... I ran it manually and all appears well...

First I tried allowing it to run the update within c3 itself, but it didn't find the file and started downloading again... Do I stopped it and ran it manually...

Where should the file have been placed for c3 to gave found it? It didn't find it in the c3 download folder...

AFAIK, there are two ways to update C3:
  1. from the dialog when C3 starts or
  2. as a manual download/update from the C3 web page.
The C3 is not a "Connected Product" so it will not be visible as a selection inside itself.

Thanks again Steve...

I was thinking along those lines...

I guess that means if you run from inside c3 it is forced to download and install/update having no dedicated folder to read from?

It appears the Command Center knows when there is an update pending, how to download and install it. As a user, the implementation details are not that important.

It's not a problem here, but for some of us, we need to manually deal with the downloads... I then use c3 to install... But in this case, I had to run it manually as c3 itself is not considered part of the included programs to read from its download folder...

It would be nice if it followed the same rules as all the other files for updates...
