Thank you for the rapid response. I ended up removing it via a brute force approach ... had to resort to checking the registry for "XLN Audio" and "Cakewalk" and remove any entries with those references. Performed this AFTER following the steps outlined in your ALL Cakewalk Software link.
To be noted: XLN Audio would NOT uninstall from the Control Panel and doesn't seem to be in the links you listed. I had to manually do a registry search and destroy for XLN Audio in addition to removing folders.
Now, time to install Platinum ...
