But still no VST3 support for v5.

Hi-

There is indeed VST3 support in v5, but this really shouldn't be discussed outside the R* pre-release forum!

Thanks-

Have they got staff view to a release state yet?

No offense Alex. This is a very obtuse/brusque "reply". Do you own/use Reaper? I was asking Susan who i know is a Reaper user (in addition to SPlat)  and i have a genuine interest in Reaper's development in.that area. I also own SPlat and have concerns about a divergence in the direction the product is going relative to what i would like to see. If your "next thread" comment was intended to be in any way helpful please provide a link. If it was just an attempt to play forum police, I'll be advised to ignore - i thought you stepped out of the moderator role? Can't have it both ways.

You asked if staff view was in a release state. I answered staff view has been released.
Then I realised you were talking about Reaper and not Sonar so many apologies.
And how the heck we get from fast bounce to Reaper Staff View in this topic ... well never mind.

But how on earth you got into a moderator discussion from this is clearly is your hangup, I didn't criticise your post. One of the many reasons I got out of being a mod was I got bored of reading these sort of cheap shots, it's clear I still have to suffer it even after I have left being a mod, so please go ahead and put me on ignore. No offence BTW.

Your reply added nothing to the discussion. Your close, "next thread" was heavy handed and intended to close any possible dialog. I asked a question that followed the general meander of the thread. I understand (and sympathized at the time you gave up the forum host responsibility) - in this case at least, i elected to remind you that your behaviour was that of someone trying to take over and tell someone else when they were done talking. If you've had prkblems jn that area in the past, i rest my case.
Next Thread.

Threads definitely taken a turn for Godwin's....
Anyway no problems, I'll just walk out the room and shoot myself .
Please carry on with your Reaper discussion...

No, I think the last thing I read was that it might not make the initial release of REAPER 5, but would more than likely be in 5.1. (I am almost certain that Staff View was the featrure that I read that about, but I could be mistaken, as there are quite a number of interesting things ahead, to me Staff View is not one of them, I don't really care for it personally, but there you go)

Thanks for the reply. I look forward to checking it out.

so are we seeing a new pattern - monthly releases with intra-monthly patches/bug-fixes? i'm not sure i could keep up with that!
