But very relevant

Why is it relevant?
Thought people answered the question ages ago on this thread...

X3 development is dead, last is X3E.
Sonar X3E remains VST compatible.
Exclusive content with the latest version of Sonar is exactly that, exclusive.

Anything else needs to be said?

Why do you edit almost every post?  It looks disingenuous?

I understand editing to correct spelling, or add the odd word to clarify, but sometimes you alter your posts completely.

Why?

Is it to make them more relevant?  Please don't, take responsibility for them.  We are more likely to take you seriously..

Any how, OT - X3 worked very well for me.  I would have been happy to stay with X3 - it was solid and excellent.

Having said that, the additions  to Sonar Plat have been amazing, and the frequent updates have been well worth the upgrade.

I cannot recommend it highly enough.

March 2015 is hardly a old date for threads... March 2007 ya..
I never saw this the first time around and thought it was a good read...

For me the upgrade has not been very costly so I think for the money we get a huge wack of goodies and toys. Falling behind with technology has it's dangers. Anybody want a free Cassette deck? I don't think I'll be using it again...

Yes my good doctor, I'm well aware of that.

But it's relevant to those users who are still on X3 and may be still expecting updates......

That Q was answered in Feb...
BTW (for others who clearly are going to pick me up on this) I didn't say this thread isn't relevant, I ask why it is still relevant.. that is a question not a statement.

(Edited a few more times because I feel like it)

Quiet is definitely good :) Cheers!

(I will edit this later to put in an extra smiley).

im not an expert when it comes to coding or audio engines etc... I used sonar 8.5.3 for alooooong time as well. I was comfortable with it and loved, however i did upgrade to x3 and took awhile but it grew on me. I did also open 8.5 projects up in x3 and the new platinum and they DID seem to sound better. They sounded fuller.. on export they definitely had a much better sound. I don't think it was just my ears playing tricks on me, it was noticeable by the artists i worked with as well. I have also learned to love a lot of the new effects and tools available. However i do still run 8.5.3 on my laptop incase i really need it in a pinch.
