Go to your account at the Cakewalk site, https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account , then under 'Products'  you can download them manually from there. Then you just place them in the folder that CCC expects them to be in, the default is C:\Program Data\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads, then you just select install through CCC and it will use those files instead of downloading them again through CCC

wow, Foxboro took me 6-7 min..tops. Was finished before I realized. Just clicked the yellow Sonar and CCC did everything at once . Less than 7 min I'm sure

Yes but did you click on the sonar Platinum icon to reveal everything underneath it that needs updating?

I'm on 152Mb download speed and to do the lot last night took me 80 minutes, so with the greatest respect, I think you're missing something.

Have to say I totally agree with above.  Since advent of this new system the amount of time wasted on updates has been colossal.  Improvements to the command centre are long overdue - it is the most clunky and worst system I have ever had to use.  The Native Instruments system is vastly better.
This has all been a major retrograde step in my eyes as a user.
Please sort it out as quickly as you can - I was a fan of cakewalk software but the first 6 months of these new arrangements have really put me off, and I won't be renewing unless there are major improvements.

Thanks Jeff.  Before I saw your post I figured part of Mudgel's solution out and I did the download straight from the website as you suggest, but did not save or install from the folder you suggested.  So, even after manually installing all the updated files, CCC still tells me they need to be updated.

Oh well, I'll mess with it tomorrow.

I'm not sure all of the time spent maintaining  our tools can  or should be considered wasted time. I was doing other things on my pc during the interminable click to continue, click to d/l, etc.  I like Craig's idea of doing all maintenance on my pc once a month, which will be done on the day or day after Sonar update is available.....

"I go to my account and download all the files suggested by CCC. That way I can have 12 different downloads happening at a time. By the time the last one has downloaded I'm already uodating them using CCC."

Do you do that in command center or some other way?   I can only do one at a time in CCC and I share the frustration of the original poster and everyone else.  Hoping the "Update all" buttons comes back

I go to my Cakewalk account to do the downloading. That way I'm not constrained by one download install cycle per item. I keep CCC open so I can see which files need to be downloaded.
Once they are all downloaded I place them into the Command Centre Download folder, then when you initiate an installation the file is already there. At this stage there is no way to avoid the cycle the CCC takes to check for updates after every installation but by the time I've downloaded the biggest file I've usually finished the whole installation. On this occasion I downloaded and installed every file. That way when the CCC comes out this month I'll be ready to go.

I would certainly vote for the one click let it happen while I'm sleeping button. I'm in the sticks so my connection speed is less than ideal.

I have to be careful not to do any 1 GB libraries

Craig, I'll take all the 1GB updates you want to produce!! No Matter how long they take!!

I have Sonar Platinum and am wondering if there is a way to update new releases all at once or at least being able to pick and choose what gets updated from check list.

This Foxboro is a big release in that there are currently 23 items needing update. It is a major waste of my time updating everything one at a time and having wait and watch the command center reload after every item update.

I assume I can go to the web and download 23 items but what good is the command center if this is the workaround?

I am hopeful there is another way.

Thanks,
John

Try it on four machines. I have my Command Center folders shared.  Then Live and Reason had updates at the same time.

Is there a reason that there's no "update all" button?  It's great that you can only update the ones you want to update if you choose to do so, but frankly I have never yet wished to leave one not updated.

This is extremely tedious, and the real problem is that I have been having a helluva time motivating myself for songwriting lately, anyway.  This is like sitting here hitting myself in the head with a hammer.

This is my 2nd go-round, and I'm still not making not progress.
