The clear question(s):
 
Is there a problem with the Platinum (/Foxboro) installer that removes or does not deploy necessary SonitusFX .ini files?
 
(necessary in the respect that the presets were once included and should continue to be included).
 
Of course ... it is a discussion forum ... and open to all response.

Well, I raised it here at the suggestion of Anderton (see linked post) due to the probability of more Cakewalk foot traffic. I guess it is a Feedback forum and not a Response forum ... and it is a potential problem rather than a problem.
 
Surely it wouldn't take Cakewalk 10 minutes to read the issue and confirm (in the right hands).
 
Do you have Foxoboro installed Doktor? Perhaps you could check? We just don't need even more than 3 users responses and it's effectively confirmed OK. But Cakewalk has the definitive answer.

Without a recipe or clear steps,  it would be hard for me to validate to be honest.. What are the steps and how exactly would I validate this?
 
How it works here.
 
User logs clear steps to repro a bug.
Other people validate.
Problem report gets logged.
Developers fix the issue (hopefully).
 
Otherwise better off contacting support.
Whilst Cakewalk might give feedback here (let's hope you are lucky) it isn't really here for them to offer support (these forums are not cakewalk support). It's here for the community to validate actual issues that are reproducible so devs can fix 'em.

You (or any user) likely can't interrogate the installers(?) - that's why it's aimed toward Cakewalk and likely can't be 100% proved by users.
 
However, (with Foxboro in place) a user could:
1. Open/Apply SonitisFX Reverb to a track/clip.
2. Check presets are available from the Presets button/dropdown.
3. (Not necessarily required) check the preset works.
 

I see a ton of presets, and I started clean with Platinum Cambridge....

I put this in the category of a simple preventative maintenance check ... for an observed occurrence.
 
It's not even my issue ...yet.
 
I'm trying to look out for the userbase lest the presets are 'dropped' (by accident) and it becomes accepted that none are provided.
 
It'd still be nice to get confirmation from Cakewalk that the presets are deployed. Yours may merely have persisted from a previous install.
