Are you sure you have double checked several times proposed methods?
1) you need to confirm your account on BandLab (you had to get an e-mail after registration and use the link in it)
2) un-install everything (Cakewalk and Assistent)
3) disable any anti(?)-viruses, in case you are not using standard MS Defender (many of them are worse then BandLab assistant, to let you believe they are useful, they declare almost random software/sites as "malware", with very complicated procedure for developers to remove that decision).
3) install Assistent
4) use it to install Cakewalk (not running download Cakewalk installer directly).
To make it clear. I also think that BandLab Assistent is a crap. But after 2-4 attempts, it normally succeed. After that, you get still the same Platinum engine. It probably revert into Demo mode at some unlucky day (if you let me guess... can be in 2-3 days... when MS release new major Windows update), but as long as BandLab has not made the same crap as Assistent out of Sonar, it can be useful
