Hi Folks,

In this never ending learning process of mixing my own stuff I occasionally get thru a mix and decide to start from scratch.
I guess I could have saved the first mix in Mix Recall but I didn't in several projects. Is there a quick way to delete all automation from a project without having to pick thru the track view by going thru each track?

Thanks
Craig

Yes, Select All > Delete Special, deselect everything apart from Track Automation

Where there's a will(delete button), there's a way.

Just when you think you're starting to really get sonar.... there's another golden egg.

Thanks a million!

By far the quickest way is this:
In the mix recall module drop down the menu and pick "Reset Mix...".
By default this will delete all envelopes and fx in the project and "zero the board"

However you can completely customize what reset does by opening the mix recall preferences (by default it will open the mix recall preferences when you choose reset)
Please note that mix recall operations are not undoable so save your project before you reset the mix.

Thats so old school :) And it wont reset your faders, offset mode etc.

I often get so far into a mix that it sounds just overdone and awful, and requires a full reset . The Mix Recall is just perfect for this and is a great use of this new feature.

With mix recall you don't even need to do a full reset. If you turn on the "apply to track/bus selection" checkbox you can choose to reset only the tracks or buses that are selected and only the data that you want. So you can reset only automation or only track parameters or only fx etc.
Mix recall is really a toolkit to manage a mix rather than a single feature.

Noel, how can I get SPLAT to not send any automation at all?

I have a situation where SPLAT is sending automation to my X32 even on a blank project. Any way to identify or prevent what process is causing that? X3 does not exhibit that behavior.
