• SONAR
  • CCC - please when is a serious update coming?

Look, I like the new model, I like the IDEA of the CCC in general, but currently this "one at a time" mode, as well as the incredibly long scanning for updates thing is just killing me. I went to update SONAR to the current version and afterwards SONAR shows as green but EVERY item under it is yellow, and has to be done one at a time. Can we please get this fixed soon?

I like the way the XLN online installer works and hope that CCC will eventually be similar.

Read the release notes - you will see packages are updated for new CCC. That probably means this month, it might get released before July update btw in preparation. Who knows what the new CCC will supply us in actuality, we shall see.

Complain first, then look for the answers( i was there for a day or two).. read the dang ezine. Do something proactive.......
It really doesn't take long to find the answers if you hang around the forums. But to complain after the rest of the world already knows about it, it comes across as a tad lazy.

/rant and no offense intended just strong advice

Swing and a miss Charlyg. I do know about the upcoming update but also know that multi-item downloads were not listed as an item in the update. There's no answers to be had: it doesn't exist now, it's not scheduled in the next update, and it's desired. So, posting here about it gets other people talking about it, which along with feature requests (submitted) will hopefully bring this item up in the queue.

And lazy? Sure I'll take that hit. I'm lazy in that I want to be able to tick off all my updates and hit "install" and go do something else with my time....like make money. :-) Dante wasn't aware of it but I'm sure an update of his epic work would have a dedicated level of hell to nerds like us watching progress bars that never complete. AAAAAGGGGHHHH!

Well, it had the update all, and I used it a time or two. There must have been a bug so they took it out. They tell us they are working on an upgrade that will take care of it. No amount of our ranting is going to change that. CW is very aware of the pain, so it must have been a nasty bug, or somehow needed to be removed so all the installer codes could change. They HAD to change every install to accommodate the coming CCC upgrade.

Still, pretty much water under the bridge now. I very much doubt we'll see the one at at a time thing again.

That's sort of the way it was originally, so you never know. Bottom line is there is an update slated for this month. We'll see whether it's "serious" enough for you or whether it tells a joke every time you open it . Come to think of it...that's not a bad idea for the redesigned start page.

I used "Update All" at least twice with no problems whatsoever.
I was disappointed when I found it gone.

Can we add "Delete All" for clean installs?
