Hey, I got an idea, since I can't run Sonar while C3 does it's biz, I'm going to switch from the vinyl to FL Studio and play with Harmor some more. My opinion is that it is a lot of fun and runs right now, while I'm waiting on the powers that be. Rest assured that I will report once the Sonar update is complete and I can once again move forward with learning Sonar and verifying bug fixes like the whole drum map updates. Background DL is no problem for me (if warned accurately!!). But if I have to hold C3'ss hand at every step, I'm easily amused and difficult to distract sometimes.

Anderton is 80% complete. Joy!

CCC will probably be updated this month and maybe it will do it all at once. But don't worry the ccc installation will be supplied in 14 packages... ;)

If I had it to do over again, I would listen to Tommy. Haven't done that in years. It was kind of my Sgt Pepper.. Knew it all from front to back. Or now that I think about it, maybe the White Album...

I must confess to actually having both, though I would have to check. I'm mostly cassette tape guy actually. Anybody remember Dr. Demento? I've got CD's and tapes.

Thanks for the response. I just got the Impulses installed. FLS was running sweet before I needed to put oyster sauce on the steak. Just another day, as they say. My next choice is ????

Digital Labs, and I'm almost complete, I can only hope but the end of the tunnel seems to be in sight. I'm hoping so because I'm picking my NFlix dinner film and Sonar will wait.

Yeah, a completionist success and everything appears to be green. Per, 'Life in the Slaw Lane', "It's a Garden Out There".

Time 9:34. Let's see how Sonar run's tomorrow morning. Please say, I don't have to re-create any preferences because they might be in the reg and now registered differently.

Do I need to re-scan VST's for instance? Maybe shift folder destinations? Just preparing for tomorrow.

Yup. do a manual vst scan and away you go.. Of course you may have it set to scan on startup. That gets annoying to me, even with just 156 plugins.

Has this thread got anything to do with Staff View or Notation fixes (or anything for that matter) ?
Good . . .  I don't think to much time and energy should be spent on those things.

I grew a garden once when I was on the farm, I didn't plant any pumpkin though, shame  . . . I like pumpkin . . . the carrots and lettuce were a raging success though . . . wait a minute . . . I'm rambling . . . oh well, at least I'm in the right place it seems.

Whoops . . . there goes the kettle . . . I'm out of here . . .

I would highly recommend a VST reset AND re-scan. You do it from Preferences.

After installing SONAR do a reset AND rescan. Rescan alone is not enough.
  1. Launch SONAR and then go to Edit > Preferences
  2. Navigate to File - VST Settings
  3. Underneath Scan Options, place a check mark next to "Rescan Failed Plug-ins" and "Rescan Existing Plug-ins"
  4. Click the [Reset...] button
  5. You will be presented with the message: "This will reset configuration settings for all your VST plug-ins to defaults. VST Plug-ins will be unavailable until a VST Scan is performed. Any custom configuration settings will be lost. Are you sure you want to do this?".
  6. Click [Yes]
  7. Click the [Scan] button
  8. At this point, the background VST scanner will scan through your list of plug-ins.
  9. When the background scanner is complete, you can reapply any custom settings to your plug-ins.

IMPORTANT: After going through this process, remove the check marks next to "Rescan Failed Plug-ins" and "Rescan Existing Plug-ins", especially if you have "Automatic Background Scan" enabled. Leaving all of these options configured simultaneously could lead to a continuous scan loop.
