The only way I could get it to work was to log out of BLA, then log back in again.

Just quitting the app or reinstalling doesn't help one bit

Haven't you people learnt anything over the years ? :)  You never want to be first, or one of the first 10 000-100 000, to download new software. Let others figure out the kinks and problems and THEN when the dust settles, you install it.

My SPLAT works perfectly still. Seems I am getting closer to being able to install the new version, but not just yet it seems. Patience is a virtue.

it would be helpful if the software would log some useful info somewhere...

Download took me ~ 1/2 hour.  Would rather not repeat the download on my main daw.  Is it possible to copy file over using flash drive?  I couldn't find the download file.  My main daw is on the internet...

Note the installer ran but now the Assistant just says Installing... just needed a reboot.

Worked for me here, whole process (download + install) took less than 10 minutes.

However, I had first gone to the site and downloaded BLA 3.0.8, then ran it.

I did that too, didn't make any difference, I'm in agreement with Tobias in a way.
But I have CbB first release working juts fine and would like the bug fixes.
I will just wait until next weekend when I might have more time and the servers might not be as hard hit.

In which folder does it downloads the "temp files" for the install? It's not in the downloads folder 'cause the last band lab related file in the April 4th download.

Yeap...it is very strange to "forget" a progress bar" in these "modern" times. I guess it will be considered a DAW fix in a near future. 'xcuse me but he installer is a "annoying tool to get to be stuck with an on-line installation.. It shouldn't be considered as a DAW bug fix.

That said, I reviewed the update content and I'm glad to see the focus on bug fixes. I just hope the spend more ficking "old running" bugs and not just newly introduced ones.

And yes I'm gald someone took over the software.

Hi,
After BandLab Assistant refused to download the installers on my 'music computer' I managed to download the files onto my modern laptop.
I found the files in users/username/AppData/Roaming/bandlab-assistant/downloads.
Copied files onto USB stick then installed on my 'music computer' all good.
Not sure if copying files is a violation of license for personnel use apologies in advance.

I have it back on my computer, though I'm not sure which version it is. I did the following:

Hard boot after computer being off all night and morning.
Plugged wireless device into different slot.
Closed Bandlab page when it opened up.
Declined all add-ons.

Not sure which, if any of these, helped, but it downloaded and installed in about 30 minutes. This time, there was only one file to download, so the "progress bar" only read "0/1." Maybe it was too much to expect to download all three packages, when so many people are hitting the servers.

The version I now have is 24.04.1 build 28. I think that is the new one. It played fine, except for the weird zapping noise I have been having problems with, but that's another story.
