If there is such a way, I'd like to be able to lock the (faders in place) in the console view to prevent accidental unwanted mouse behavior from scrolling vertically raising or lowering volume levels. Thanks

The only way I know of is to create an automation lane for the volume and set it through there, then even if you accidently move the fader it'll bounce right back to where it was

I have had problems with the mouse wheel being automatically scrolling the volume fader when the mouse is in the fader widget. Sometimes I'm attempting to scroll the console view. It would be great to be able to cancel mouse wheel actions on individual controls - but still be able to scroll the page ( console view )

I'd choose the automation option if it was me.
 
Do it from Track View.
 
Select All (Ctrl + a) then set the Edit Filter on just one track to Automation > Volume

Right-click on each fader you want to lock, and then select Value > Set Snap-to = Current. Double-click on the fader to restore it to the locked setting.
 
Even better...you can have independent Snap To settings for the Console Fader, Inspector Fader, and Track View fader. Double-click on any of those faders to return to the Snap To value you set for that fader.

Wow! That's super nice! I still use my old trusty Cakewalk Peavey StudioMix to control CbB, and it gives me that "fader jitter" problem sometime when I change banks. I think the trick will do the job on those kind of situations. Thanks a lot!!

Supercool, I once knew this feature and then forgot. :'(

While trying to explore with different levels on a track but you also like the current value, this thing is very useful to snap back. I recently also developed a habit of
keeping the track intact and doing the changes in an aux track. While this is a little more work to create an aux track and change the output routing, it does comeout very handy. When ever I look at these aux track I get remembered that I have made these recent changes and I can check the old levels in the uneffected channel. Its also easy to A B the changes this way.

And remember right click on a fader also offers the "Revert option" which sets the value back to before the previous edit.
