Hi Group,

I've been plugging away at Splat for some months now and I'm having a blast.
I had a buddy of mine at the house this weekend and we recorded electronic drum tracks for 5 originals with a Roland 11KV.

I was pre setting the tempo for each song so that when and if I quantize some of the elements in the midi track they will fall in line.

With one song we had a recording of it as a reference and I basically forgot to set the metronome to the proper tempo (180bpm) so what I have is a midi drum track that didn't follow the click track and the tempo of the project is way off if I activate the metronome.

The project metronome was set to 135 when I recorded it but we didn't use the click. I need to sync the midi file to a click track of 180bpm without having it change it's current tempo. (it was recorded with the tempo set to 135 and the metronome was silent. How can I link that midi drum track to a 180bpm metronome setting without changing the files speed?

Regards,
Craig

I should add this to the Tips and Tricks thread:

Snap the Now time to measure 136, hit Shift+M to bring up Set Measure/Beat At Now, enter measure 181 and OK.

SONAR will change the tempo to 180 around the MIDI without altering its absolute playback timing.

If the first hit isn't at 1:01:000, you may have to slide the tracks(s) to have them start on the right beat.
