Survey received and completed here . . . I really hope they are listening.
The questions in this survey seem to be searching for some direction about what users really want them to develop next. There are a lot of different things on the table, so hopefully the survey will offer some clarity about what the majority of users really need. I found it interesting about the questions of are you a PRO or Hobbyist, and I really hope they don't go down the road of Apps for phones etc . . .

The app question was about a controller for Sonar not general music apps. Besides they have a different development team for Sonar than the one that creates cross platform instruments and plugins.

Understood mudgel . . . I'm just being selfish, because I don't own a mobile phone.
I just don't want to see them spending any precious time on android technology, and I would be surprised if the user base (at least the one I see here on the forum) actually wanted that.

The ability to remotely control record start stop, arm tracks, solo and mute, set loop points etc would be great!
I agree the survey was a lot more specific and in particular it seems to be focusing on staff view improvements vs mastering tools as the next area for improvement

Touchdaw already does it. Why does one need another app?

It's a shame that Cakewalk do not e-mail ALL of their users...

Boo hoo hoo. I didn't get emailed this new survey. I sure wish I had got it! Maybe, it just was sent to the SONAR 2015 Lineup users. My latest SONAR purchase was X3 Producer.

I didn't receive it either, and I am a full-fledged, totally up-to-date purchaser and user of Sonar Platinum.

Man, I REALLY like what these questions seem to imply. Exciting times! I feel more and more confident about the Cake and the Bakers every day.

I completed it but I didn't feel attracted by the various possible future options.

Mobile devices are cheaper then any dedicated hardware controllers. I guess most Sonar users have some kind of mobile phone. But more important, in case they look in that direction they at least will fix general Control Surface bugs which is good for your Impulse as well.

I just think that features like that give Sonar a broader appeal and will do good rather than bad. I don't think it will take resources away from Sonar development. I think its already been recognised that Cakewalk need to expand and that's obvious by the fact that they are hiring. Some of those staff are being used for crossplatform development, no doubt plugins, instruments and perhaps mobile too
