Could Audacity be hiding behind Sonar's window?

Hi mudgel:)

No, it's not hiding, just not starting at all...

Try setting "Region Flag" to No.

Didn't realise you'd got an error message. Scooks right again. It's a similar issue as RX4 if Region Flag isn't set to No.

great cheers for that clue!

so how do I get the sample back into Sonar?

with wavosaur closing the app sends it back to Sonar with no problems.

I have the same question about using Audacity ~
It will open from the Sonar menu with the selected audio just fine, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to save the edited audio back into Sonar - it seems Audacity just wants to export to a new file or save to a project on the hard drive.

Adobe Audition is seamless, and saves right back into Sonar.

Probably overkill, but it would be nice to be able to use both editors as desired - just because ...

HI:)

I got it! I always tried to load a Loopfile, and that doesn't work! Only normal Waves....
OK:) Thanks for Help.

I think the problem with Audition could be that it doesn't work natively with wav files. It uses a proprietary format and I'm not sure whether wavs are converted immediately when imported in which case the audio file would not be recognised by Sonar for the return.

I'll put it on my list of things to test.
