I never see comments on this kind of thing, but surely I'm not the only one who hits a wrong key (I use F5 for "go to time" and sometimes I miss and hit F6 ... ) followed by a rapidly typed number, and have to watch screensets flash until all the digits are used  ... and then little irritating things get changed when you get back to the desired screenset.    Please please do away with fixed number key assignments for screensets.     Latest little irritaing thing related to unwanted screenset changes:   Event List view preferences disappear when changing screensets and returning ...

IIRC, you mentioned in a previous thread that assigning the number keys to "Do Nothing" in key bindings did not work for you. It works here, so I think you should give it another go.

Preferences > Customization > Keyboard Shortcuts

In the Search field under Area: Global Bindings, type "nothing".

Sonar will show you the 'Do Nothing' action to which you can bind any default keyboard shortcut to disable it.

Just have to say: having to set "Do Nothing" is not that impressive an option, even if it works now.   There is an "unbind" thing, which should do the trick but doesn't.

Yeah, William, that's what threw me

I guess it's in the 2000 page manual somewhere, although I've read the section on keyboard shortcuts and nothing is mentioned in there, and searching for "do nothing" or "nothing" brings up, erm... nothing.

Ah well... Thank goodness for our forum eh
