If this for MB or 32C?  Mine says $129 (for 32C) and I bought it last week!

Thanks, Tim.   Hmm, I don't get it.

I'm going to clean my glasses, and then if it still says $129, I'll be firing off an email to Harrison support!

JonD,

I believe that the upgrade price depends on what you paid originally.  If so, and you paid $99 like I did, your upgrade price is $129.  If you paid more, then it's $79.  (Can anyone else confirm that by giving both numbers here?)

I'll do likewise ... there shouldn't be two upgrade prices for the same product, irrespective of what you paid initially. I do not consider that good business practise to first give a discount and then charge more to recover later. That's a scam.

I paid more than $99 but not full price, also getting $129 quote ...

Hi Rob,

As you may know, for the past several weeks, they've been selling 32C V3 for two prices.  If you paid the full price, you get V4 for free.  If you paid $99, you don't.  I didn't realize that when I bought V3 for $99, but there was indeed some verbiage on the web page that actually did say that.  When I asked a few weeks ago why I wasn't going to get V4 for free, I received the following response:

"Just to be clear, though, to receive 32C, v4 free, you have to pay regular price for 32C. You only paid $99 which is a great deal; and even with the update it will likely cost less than a regular-price purchase."

So recovery is definitely part of their pricing scheme.

Right, but as far as I can tell, most of us are somewhere in the middle of that deal.  Not free, but either $79 or $129.

As Rob rightfully points out, there should not be a sliding scale for upgrade offers based on the initial discounted price (The only exception would be what you mentioned -- users who paid full price getting the upgrade for free).  The rest of us should be getting the same upgrade offer, period.

I really hope the Harrison folks get on top of this and come to a reasonable resolution.  Fast.  It would be a shame if this turned into a "thing" because "things" can quickly overshadow the product with all the negativity.  If this controversy reaches KVR, oh boy....

BTW, I already emailed Harrison.  If anyone else intends to, it might not be a bad idea to link to this page.
