I've just realised that none of my track templates load in CbB. I just copied my SPLAT ones to the new folder.
They're just things like Kontakt, Omnisphere etc, with all the outputs and MIDI tracks set up, and in a folder.

The actual plugins load fine (Kontakt, Omnisphere etc) but when I try to load a track template, nothing happens.
It looks like -none- of my track templates will load.

They work fine in SPLAT.

Has anyone got their old track templates working in CbB?

Just move/copy from C:\Cakewalk Content\SONAR Platinum\Track Templates to C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Core\Track Templates OR just reference 1st folder in Preferences.
 

Mine work, I copied them over from my SPlat installation to my CbB installation.

All good here.  I have many synth track templates that originated in splat which all load in Cakewalk by Bandlab

Have you made sure that all of your Cakewalk by Bandlab preferences, like vst paths, folder locations, I/O settings, audio interface card settings, all match exactly how you have then set in Splat?

I believe he did that already, as he said "I just copied my SPLAT ones to the new folder". But anyway, whether they work or not should not depend on their location.

Yeah I copied my track templates from the SPLAT folder to the new one - they just don't load. At least I know it works for you guys, so I'll have to dork around with it.
The synths load by themselves, so it's not really a "settings" issue.

I'll have to play around with it.

Well, this is the damndest thing. CbB just won't load a track template!
I even created a simple one which just has 2 empty audio tracks.
Save the track template, then try to reload it - nothing happens!
 
I wonder if it has something to do with the new "replace from track template"? I can load single empty tracks this way (which is fairly useless), but if I try to load a synth or something - Cakewalk just crashes.
I'm not really sure what this is trying to do.

Just tried all my project templates and about a dozen of my track templates that were created in X3 through SPlat, they all worked in CbB.
 

 

Thanks gustabo. It must be a "setting" that I'm missing - but it's weird because this really is the same thing a SONAR, and it's imported all my settings from SONAR. The only thing I changed is some of the paths.

Probably not a "setting." I can replicate some of your issues. The devs are aware and they have been working on this for the next update.
