Fired up BandLab Assistant today and once it updated itself to 3.08, I noticed there was a new Cakewalk release, so I installed it.

I notice the expiry date in the about box has been replaced with "Free - Activated by BandLab Assistant" and the following are now available in the new "Install Addons" menu:

  • Studio Instruments Suite
  • Drum Replacer
  • Melodyne
  • Theme Editor
The melodyne install actually tried to re-install melodyne itself - not just CbB's integration. I picked "Repair" so it would effectively leave my copy of Melodyne Editor alone, whilst returning a success back to the CbB installer. Everything seems to work perfectly in any case.

Does anyone know if there's anything new in these or the new CbB installers, i.e. bug fixes etc, or are they just some of the missing components now being made available?

Funny they didn't put a sticky yet or update the ones above. Will have to give it a spin myself. Thanks for the heads up. I can just see the forum lighting up like a Christmas tree over the next week now :)

Same here...

No notices anywhere, but I"m downloading/installing right now.

I'm guessing they are creating the post with info regarding changes. They can't do both at the same time, eh? 👽

Got it! Installed theme edit and drum replace. In Splat, theme editor is available in the Utilities menu... I do not see it there in CbB. Anybody got it?

It is not automatically added to the Utilities menu. The Theme Editor is called using the Edit button on Preferences > Customization > Themes

It is possible to add it to the Utilities menu by editing the registry or using my SONARToolsEditor,  There is a link to the utility on the Sonar Resources and Utilities thread.
