No worries. Everyone's gotta start somewhere. We've all been there.
It's also usually a good idea to post some of your PC specs in your signature. It becomes part of every post and helpers can see at a glance which version of sonar and general hardware you're using. Otherwise it will always be the first question asked . See ya round and welcome to Sonar.

Bruce, no worries.  I'm here - just trying to break free of Father's Day fiascos so I can stop worrying if my dad likes the shirt I bought him and start getting back to the real problem at hand!  I, too, get excited when I hear similar problems being experienced by other forum members (but sorry that they have the problem to start!).  I found where to post specs on my signature - thanks for that heads-up, Craig.

I've checked the routing on each channel as well as the master bus; output is set to my audio interface.  I see the meter moving on the AD2 track; no sound.  I see the TH2 meter reacting to the original guitar input, but no sound.  Interestingly, the meter for the guitar track shows no movement, yet the TH2 Line in meter is reacting to the original audio file that I recorded to the track.  I'm really not sure how I got here, but if I ever update my machine again, I'm going to copy my C: drive and all installations as someone suggested I do.  The silence over here is terrible.  If you have any ideas, I'll be triaging until I get my tunes back.

I had  a very similar situation with AD2 the other day.(I'm still finding my way with it, so everything is like starting over each time I use it). It seems to me that the solution for me was in the mixer section. I believe that is in the "KIT" tab. the buttons at the bottom are your routing options. I'll look tonight and give you the specifics for what worked for me. Just to troubleshoot, are your issues only with AD2 and TH2, or are you getting complete silence on the whole song? (or are these the only two tracks on the song, in which case of course you are)

What type of AD2 track do you see "meter" activity - midi or audio?  If its midi, you need to rout the output of that midi track to AD2 and into an audio track to hear it.

Hi, Dave,

Not sure why I need to route AD2 to an audio track; I didn't have to do that before.  The output was set to Addictive Drums 2.  Now though, I see there is a "1" after "Addictive Drums 2".  Could that mean that I somehow have this loaded twice?

Orangesporanges, this is only happening to AD2 and TH2 - not for vocals, but those are the only tracks that produce sound at the moment.

By the way, Craig, I'm using a TASCAM US-122 MkII interface.

Can you play any audio through cakewalk?

Check in preferences for the playback and record timing master to ensure they are checked.

Ensure you route the master bus to a legit output.

Do the meters on the master bus bounce?

Did you authorize the plugs?

Gswitz, The only audio I get is from the vocal tracks, and they are completely dry; no effects.  Timing masters are checked and the master out is set to my audio device.  Grem, I just checked the authorization for both AD2 and they're both up to date.  I get the feeling this is something to do with my audio interface...
