Hi Folks, Been a fan / user of Cakewalk since the early 2000's and just upgraded to a new desk top PC running Windows 10 64 Bit (i7, 16 GB of RAM + 2 Drives). Audio interface is the new UA Apollo Twin MKII Duo Thunderbolt. Everything seems to be working great so far but wondering if anyone has a similar set up and have any suggestions for optimizing the integration of the 2. I did optimize Windows, well tried to, but it didn't recognize my MIDI Controller (Mackie Universal Pro 3.0) so had to do a restore to the original settings. Any way just asking if anyone has had any success optimizing a similar setup?         

My setup is different but I consider switching to USB Apollo soon. What is your current latency roundtrip in Sonar? Your Mackie problem has nothing to do with Apollo.

Sample rate is 48 KHz and Bit Depth is 24, Buffer size is 512 samples and Buffers in Playback Queue is at 2. I have Mixing Latency of 10.7 msec. showing. Underneath the ASIO Panel button I have Input 16.6 & 797 samples and Output is 11.2 with 537 samples. Round trip is 27.8 msec, 1334 samples. Doesn't seem correct though as the latency doesn't seem that long at all more in the 10 msec range and that seems high given the Software & Hardware. There's probably something I haven't done to ensure optimal integration between the Apollo and Platinum hence the thread.  How's the USB working for you and did you have to do anything to optimize the integration?     

I just built "The Beast" and upgraded to Apollo Twin MKII since my Profire610 died and M-Audio hasn't supported them for several years anyway. The learning curve with the Apollo is a little daunting, but the key seems to be understanding that the UA Console is BEFORE Sonar when recording. This way you can use those cool UA plugins without taxing Sonar by loading them in the Console instead of in Sonar. The problem for me comes when I want to mix down and export the recorded audio. I haven't figured out how to use the UA Console (and the plugins) as a submix that feeds back through Sonar. Any suggestions??
