Yes, I tried it a few months ago with my Kindle Fire HD gen1 and RTPmidi. I got the full version for like 5 bucks from the Amazon store. RTPmidi was a little tedious to set up but once I got it working, TouchDAW worked right away. The transport controls, faders and knobs work great but the real reason I tried it was I wanted a touch joystick to control the Z3TA-2 XY control. I could not get this to work. I will give it another shot when I have time. Have you tried mapping the TouchDAW XY control to anything in Sonar or a synth?
RTPmidi is useful for other things as well. I tried running Jam Origin (MIDI guitar) on my laptop and using RTPmidi to connect its MIDI output via wifi to virtual synths in Sonar running on my studio desktop PC. MIDI latency was virtually 0 over 54Mbs wifi (laptop wifi & ethernet desktop).
BTW, if anyone tries TouchDAW via RTPmidi, be sure that the ports it wants to use are not blocked by your router.
