Hey man, I'm perfectly good right now with X3e.  I'll eventually move to the newest but I almost never jump on to a new software release immediately.  I believe it was X3c or d before I moved to X3 from X2.  I can see reasons to move to PT but NOT for lack of bugs or performance improvements.

When I read this I thought "he doesn't seem very angry". I check out his "Studio" and just ads. He's not a troll, he's a spammer.   Pretty good no links workaround. Move on, nothing to see here folks.

I believe that ProTools is the industrie standard because it is too costly to just dump it and get a different DAW. But if you have the money to buy into ProTools and pay all that extra money for just a software product, Then you can be like the Jones's and maybe someday understand what it's all about.

Spencer Davis ought to be pissed about that video, ripping off I'm A Man. But I always preferred Chicago's take on it.

LOL... he's my blood brother, and there is no spam, no adware, trolling, or the like in his posts or website.  He has a very nice studio space in Mobile, AL, and he's the one who got me using SONAR back at version 8.5.  And I'm sticking with Sonar with no plans to try something different any time soon....for the reasons Mr. Anderton pointed out.

I assume the OP has investigated the AVID support policy for ProTools, or has been using an older completely bug-free version and has found no need to update. Or has spent as much time on the forum below as he has here.

Heh. I was going to say that the dude was trying to mimic your handle but that makes sense. Kind of an odd first post though. I did not check out his site.

As a Cakewalk user since 2000 the new Platinum is everything you need to create world class music of any genre and I would say Pro tools has nothing over Sonar. I have no problems with the new membership program and if you can't spend a few bucks a year to stay current then just work with what you already have and call it a day.

Well I have been a loyal Cakewalk user since 1999...
But? Enough is enough! Is there anyone else who feels the way I do! Are you tired of having to purchase the latest version long before the last platform is even fixed? Sure bugs will be in any software program! But how many times are we expected to PAY for the solution. The "X series" has been a cash cow. Now we have the ridiculous membership program. Sure a few new features to the same interface, a few added plug-ins and once again we are forced to update.  (Did Gibson buy XLN Audio too?...lol)  I have addictive drums and its a decent drum program. Seems to be another marketing incentive. My guess is we will paying $150 OR MORE every year for the latest fix.

Perhaps its time to switch to the industry standard and get it over with. I don't wont to own stock in Gibson.
