Hi there:)

when I open some Files, I get an VST Error:

The following CLSID is not identical with the VST-PLUG-IN List

Old Name:  Boost 11
Old CLSID:  ...

New CLSID: ...
New Path: E:\.....

How can I fix that?? The Problem only occurs on some files (old ones?), I think where Boost 11 was installed on another path....

Thankes;)

What happends if you reset plugins list, and make a new re-scan?

I don't think Sonar projects use direct references on disk, just some plugins that host other plugins do that.

HI:)

I've 4 VST Paths: E:\vstplugins ; E:\vstplugins_x86 ; E:\vstplugins_X3 ; E:\vstplugins_X4 .
Boost 11 is in the last 2 Paths, one from X3, the other from Platinum

The 1st Error leads to new path X4
Now after VST initialize I got an VST Error who leads to X3 Path
Then Error Missing Plug In Boost 11

Last year I've tried to get all Plug ins in one Directory, but it does'nt work for all, some plugins don't work if they are in the same path like vst3 or 64 bit Plugins:(

Now after 2nd Reset and Plug In Scan same Error, but it points again to new path X4

I've deleted Boost 11 Dir in X3 path.

The Plug In works fine! Just the error message

Now I searched in the Registry!

The Old CLSID is not found there, only the new one, so why this error??

The CLSID is generated in part based on the path/filename - if there was a significant (and I don't know what counts as significant!) difference between the Boost installs, intentionally or otherwise, there would be a different CLSID generated.  It's not an ideal way of identifying plug-ins IMHO.

So how can I fix that, the PlugIn works, but I don't like this error message all the time I open this files.

Does nobody has an Idea? I can't solve it......

I did some more investigation into this: Boost inserted into a 32 bit project will never open cleanly in 64 bit SONAR and vice versa. Is that by any chance what's happened here?

Many of your plugins will be duplicated if you have a path for X3 and X4 because many of the plugins are available in both versions of Sonar
