I have a slow internet connection so I always got my major version updates from Germays Thomann online store (C.O.D, no credit card needed).
Only if I was experiencing problems would I download the step-update at my place of work and take it home on thumb drives.
Currently I am between employment and I kinda realize I am stuck with the version I have.
But the bakers have introduced Drum Replacement, which from the videos looks much easier than the Melodyne way. This is a time-saver and I want it.
I looked up Sonar on Thomann's website and saw they have no major updates and even if you buy the full version, the box only has a blue ticket. (I recently bought Spectrasonic's Trilian (a bass plug). The box had 2 DVDs.)
So my question:
How are the folks with less than ideal internet connections getting Sonar?
I am also worried I will fall behind on the major updates and one day need to pay full price again.
Am I alone? Help!
