we can open a new project from a track-template(CWX)
 
you need to find where is your CWX then right-cilck on it then select open with-SONAR.
 
after doing this, double-click a CWX this will open-sonar with your track-template & BUSS

CWT files are project templates (the old extension was TPL). The project template location is stored in the Templates entry specified in Preferences > File > Folder Locations. CWX is the extension for track templates. The track template location is stored in the "Track Templates" entry also in Preferences > File > Folder Locations.
 
The new project process does open a project template.
