I'm working on two sub-projects that make up the same project.
One project for music and one for sound effects.
I wonder how you can integrate the two subprojects in a single project?

I believe you can though it may be a touch tedious...

If you set Sonar to be able to load more than one project (I believe that's the default but I disable that as a default here)...

Load both projects and copy/paste tracks from them into a new project (better safe than shoving one into the other)...

You may have to load any synths. I don't remember if they get copied with the associated MIDI tracks...

You don't even have to copy and paste.

To open 2 projects simultaneously you need to set Allow Sonar to open more than one project. See Preferences.

If you have 2 monitors then even easier but otherwise just open the 2 projects with the track view of both showing and click + drag the tracks from one to the other.

You may also have to set Import audio with time stamp so that the tracks align properly.

Thanks mudgel...

I guess I didn't explain well as that was what I was suggesting... ;-)

I can only get one track view to show at a time.  I'm not able to "open" Sonar twice either.  My box isn't checked in preferences either, as I can open as many projects as I want, but am able to only show one at a time.  How do you get TWO track views showing?

Jonesey got it!

...or else use copy/paste or special-copy/paste

Maybe a screeset might be helpful?

rogeriodec..,  You can select all the tracks in a project and convert all the selected tracks into one track template.  Then take the 2 track templates from the respective projects and enter them into a new project.

I was assuming the track content would be included in the multi track template, but apparently I was wrong.  The templates don't include the wav and midi files, but do include everything else.  Importing or exporting the midi and wav files is the next challenge.
