That's what the guy in the video said. They are not blobs by any stretch, which I need to do in Melodyne but can't figure it out. No way to zoom or scroll left/right. I'll look in manual.....

Actually... if you are seeing that flat line in the actual Melodyne Editor it is because it is in the percussion mode (for working with the timing of percussive instruments like drums). I forget the exact name of the modes. There is a drop down menu at the top middle of Melodyne that allows you to switch between percussion/timing and the actually tone shifting one.

Damn... it's not polyphany. Meh... just look in the manual or watch further in the vid. It is bound to be covered. You just change that one option and all the blobs spread out vertically to denote pitch. By default it opens in percussive mode which is a little annoying/confusing when you first use it.

Edit: Okay, IIRC, the two editing modes are Percussive and Melodic. That could still be wrong but I'm not in front of my DAW.

Ok, So I select a guitar clip that has a flat note at the end, I pull down Regional effects, open Melodyne, and I don't get the blobs, just a flat bar. I open the Melodyne video and there is no mention of why when his opens, he sees blobs, and I don't. I JUST installed and activated so I didn't set ANYTHING. So, I try stretching things out, but it seems when track view zooms, Melodyne doesn't. I will go look for more videos but so far, SOP...they click something, I do the same thing, and we get different results.

This is where the note separation tool comes in handy.  Click along that flat bar with this tool and the notes will separate.  This may help you.

Well, I managed to pitch correct the note, altho it could use a little vibrato ... I am watching the Explained videos again. EZD2 will be next. Then Nectar

You'd need both the concept of royalty and a royal family to give him that moniker.

I guess you don't live in Nashville, people say "sir" and "ma'am." In fact I get called "sir" all the time, but then again, so does everyone else

The best part is all the women who call me "darlin'" or "honey." It was a letdown when I realized they weren't coming on to me , but it's pleasant nonetheless.

BTW you can also find several hundred of my articles and reviews on Harmony Central. One of the last posts in my giant "Friday's Tip of the Week" thread in this forum (there are rumors the thread is coming back) listed the following:

If you want to be called "sir," by all means just visit Nashville . I have to say it's one of the most polite places I've ever been, right up there with Canada. I sometimes think Nashville's Metro Water Services has huge vats of Prozac somewhere that they drip into the reservoirs.

Now, if only the women who say "darlin'" and "honey" weren't just doing it because they're nice...if I was ever called "honey" by a stranger in Los Angeles, I would assume I had stumbled into a red light district.

What about last August's tip a day.

I have a word doc that contains all the info but didn't it go past day 31 and got to 35 or something. Was it 2013 or 2014.

There's a link in my signature that takes you to my Onedrive where you'll see Andertons August tips.
