Anyhow - on topic - this does look pretty cool.  Can't wait to try it, or at least see a video of it in action.

Will this be able to extract HH and cymbals from overheads?

As someone who records multi-track drums all the time, I am looking forward to giving this a try.  Having said that, there are already mechanisms for doing this in Sonar, such as using AudioSnap or Melodyne to generate midi notes from audio transients and using those midi notes to trigger a sampler or drum synth.

What intrigues me, though, is the potential to detect a particular drum from a mix.  Although I mic each drum individually, sometimes bleed from another drum is detected as a beat (which I usually edit out manually).  If Cakewalk's new tool takes care of that aspect, it will definitely save me time.

...wicked
Wow, looks pretty kewl. The only hesitation I'd have is if it doesn't use Melodyne math for any of its work. Despite the revamp of Audiosnap there's still some transient weirdness, and with drums that could be disastrous. But heck, I'm on board. Could make building tracks VERY quick, since I use a stock drumbeat to write to and go back and "beef it up" later right before mixing anyway.

Sweet. Just realized this is going to come in handy for a live of the floor project I should have gotten polished up ages ago. Good thing I procrastinated because this should make it a lot simpler. lol

Cakewalk is making good on its promise to deliver these new features, and the fact that we don't have to wait a year or more as we used to (and still do with other software) is a very welcome approach.  Well done so far!
