I have a few suggestions for Rapture II. If you have any you'd like to add, please do so. Maybe we can get this stickied so staff can see it and pass on the requests.

1) At high screen resolutions, this little editor boxes for things like Transpose become extremely tiny. Perhaps adding a single rotary with larger value display near this section that would affect the highlighted box would be great.

2) The Master section is slimmer than would be ideal. We need a toggle button to the left of the Pitch, Cutoff, Res, and Amp buttons labelled Master. When activated, the rest of the buttons and displays now affect masters. In this way, we can apply curves and settings to all voices at once without having to copy from one to another.

3) Add "Bank / Patch Manager" to the Program Browser window. Right clicking will produce a context popup menu which includes the following items. The "New" option will ask for a name and whether or not you are creating a Bank or Patch. Similarly, the Export and Import options should do the same. The idea here is to remove as much dependance on the OS file system as possible and make it easier to manage the layout of your banks and patches.

* Some, if not all, of these might also be applied to Dimension Pro, so do not overlook that as well.

+1, having a master section for filters and envelopes would be great to avoid copying and pasting.  I've done something similar by setting up an sfz file to load a bunch of waveforms into the same voice, but the results didn't work quite the way I expected.

I'm wondering though, are there any plans for an updated Rapture or new Cakewalk synths?  Rapture and Dimension Pro came out quite a while ago.  I remember a few years ago there were some hints from Cakewalk on a new super synth, but I think that died out when they were bought by Roland.

i am all for #3, but something like Kore (dying this friday) where presets can be categorized, rated, given colors and stars.  with Kore, i was able to rate presets (0-5 stars) and color code them.  since there are so many .ksd presets within Kore/Komplete, there was never any reason to bother with any preset that didn't get at least 4 stars!  Rapture is getting that way, with all these banks available.  too many presets!!! need a way to pare them down

Maybe this is getting too much into Z3ta territory, but how about hard sync and FM on oscillators?

a preset rating might not be bad.  Hard sync/FM and any other way to change the wave form would be welcome.

Supposedly the "Supersynth" was beatscape, but it failed.  It is still a good idea, but just needs to be refined a little more.  Loop player, but isn't really a synth.  Rene is gone, so I don't know who would be working on one.

I'm actually pretty happy w/ Rapture/Dimpro, although more sounds/presets would be nice.  Alchemy is my main synth for programming these days, but something from Cake different than Rapt would be nice.  How 'bout the Roland V synth as a vst?

+1 to new oscilator types.

Right now, it's all wavetable, even for basic things like staight saws, sines and stuff. What I'd like to see is something more like Thor, where you can select a particular type of osc for a given element, and then have the param grid update to reflect the settings for that osc.

Watch this video on Thor's osc types if you aren't familiar.

Perhaps I am on the contrary to most of you, but I'd like more presets.  I'd like a bigger, more intuitive screen, and an easier sequencer.  Most of all, I'd love to see better integration with The host program (Sonar).  I want to select presets in either the synth (drop-down), and/or the synth track.  I am soooo sick and tired of having to use my mouse, or arrow keys to select presets....Heck, I'd even settle for a programmable midi, or hot key type of deal.....I'd like to see the same thing in DimPro....Z3TA has it.....

I would like the option of being able to type in the value of each parameter.  Using a scrollwheel to go from 0 to 100 can take up a lot of time.

An "undo" button would be useful too.

Are you running the latest version of Rapture?  Just double click the field you want to enter a value for.  This feature is in the Windows version of Rapture at least.

I now see that this feature has been added in the v1.2 update.  I am still on v1.1 and last time I checked this was the latest version.
