After I installed the update my VST Scan said 8 new plugins. Does that just mean that some were edited?

Total guess. You probably updated the boutique FX suite and drum replacer.

Probably stock ProChannel modules reinstalled although nothing has changed with them...

Drum Replacer disappeared after up.

Make sure you downloaded the drum replacer update in CCC. If issue persists perform a VST reset in preferences. Then do a VST rescan.
