  • How to (permanently) resize plugin windows?

I know this has been asked about before, but has anyone yet found a way to permamently resize the windows of certain plugins that open with excess space around the GUI?

(I'm sure the problem is probably caused by using Windows' DPI scaling feature, but text and other items are just too small without it.)

I have the same problem at my resolution... and some UI are worse than others ... really conservative with their virtual ink.
I'm just not sure how many are scalable, and not set by graphic res etc.

I'm not so much concerned about actually scaling the GUIs as much as I would just like to be able to do away with the excess white space and have it stay that way the next time I open the plugin.

(But I can see why one might want the ability to scale them as well.)

If the scalability is not coded in the VST, there's nothing you can do, AFAIK.

ZMover can position and size Windows - but not scale.
It's great to position and size plugins.

... ZMover helps you manage your desktop layout by enabling you to set the size, position and layering of application windows. Instead of wasting time rearranging windows across your single or multiple monitor display

It would be nice if plugin makers designed scalability into their plugs. Sometimes they are too small to see easily. Maybe it's just my aging eyes. lol

I think some VST3 plugins are scalable.   Not a big list though, AFAIK.

Would it remember the varied sizes of each different plugin window every time said plugin is opened?

And again, I'm not looking to scale the plugins at all, just have it so that the Windows FRAME fits the plug's GUI when opened, instead of opening with the excess space on the right side and bottom of the GUI, as it currently does by default every time I open the plug.

I've neverr experienced that "oversized" pop-up window With all the VSTs I've ever used the window matches the VST UI, IIRC.

I've also not seen this happen before. Just wondering what would cause this . . . have you perhaps saved the project on a different device, like a laptop with different monitor resolution ?
